KT Halo Front Wing

A high performance surf style foil built for speed, explosive maneuverability, lively re pop on jumps, and impressive control even at high speeds. It’s designed to feel fast, loose, and reactive.

The Halo hits that magic 8 aspect ratio as a fast, surf- and freestyleoriented frontwing series built for predictable, instant rebound after landings or tip breaches. It stays stable and confidenceinspiring at speed while offering smooth, reliable lowend and stall behavior. Compared to the Nomad, the Halo sits at the opposite end of the surf, freestyle, tow, and downwind spectrum. It gives up a bit of lowend lift in exchange for significantly more topend speed, reduced drag, and a looser, more surfinspired feel through turns, whitewash, and freestyle maneuvers. Sizing runs roughly 15% larger than the Nomad for a similar lowend comparison. This lets the Halo use a thinner, faster section to unlock speed and glide while keeping the span compact for stiffness, aggressive turning, and dependable control at high speeds and in turbulent water.

Sizes: Available in 550, 670, 800, 950 squarecentimeters.

Colors: Available in Black with Luminous Yellow logos.

Halo.

Carbon.

Powered Freeride, Freestyle, Surf, Wake, Big Wave, Tow, Foil Assist.

Halo is designed as a high performance surf foil that still excels in realworld conditions. Its focus is on speed, glide, and a lively, reactive feel rather than maximum lowspeed lift. Compared to the Nomad, you trade a bit of lowend forgiveness for noticeably better topend speed, more glide, and a more dynamic response.

Halo handles turbulent and aerated water with confidence, staying smooth and composed through foam. The smaller spans across the size range help reduce grab in chop, keeping the foil clean, predictable, and stable when you’re pushing speed.

While surf performance is the priority, Halo also shines in wing freestyle, powered riding, and even some wake applications, especially in the larger sizes, making it a versatile highperformance option across disciplines.

Designed for speed, glide, and lively repop after touchdowns. Sizing runs larger than Nomad for a similar overall feel. Pairs exceptionally well with Atom surf tails for turningfocused setups. Pulse tails are the goto when chasing maximum topend speed and glide. Tail and shim tuning let riders finetune the balance between lift and speed.

Feeling.

Halo feels fast and stable right away, with a lively, responsive character that rewards committed riding. Much like your favorite quad-fin surfboard, it carries a slightly aggressive performance edge by design, yet still flows smoothly and effortlessly through turns. Touchdowns stay controlled, and the foil snaps back into flight with rapid, predictable ventilation recovery, keeping your rhythm intact and your confidence high.

Stock Sizes.

550 cm². A smaller, faster option built for highspeed winging, freestyle, and surf in punchy, powerful conditions delivering quick acceleration, sharp control, and a lively, reactive feel.

670 cm². A tow and fastconditionfocused size that stays composed at very high speeds, maintaining control even through chop, wind, and heavy turbulence. It’s built to remain stable, predictable, and confidenceinspiring when the pace gets extreme.

800 cm². A balanced performance size that delivers a feel similar to the Nomad 700, but with noticeably more topend speed and glide. It maintains that familiar ease and predictability while adding extra efficiency and range when you open it up.

950 cm². Closest in feel to a Nomad 830, offering a larger, more supportive platform with strong glide for winging, freestyle, and crossover wake use. It delivers smooth lift, excellent carry, and a stable, versatile ride across disciplines.

Speed.

Halo accelerates really fast, effortlessly and holds speed with almost no rider input. It carries pace smoothly through turns and between sections, with a noticeably higher top end than comparable Nomad sizes. Stability at speed is central to its design, letting riders push harder without the foil ever feeling nervous or unpredictable.

Shape & Outline.

The Halo uses a compact, surf inspired outline with a moderate span and refined tips to balance speed, control, and maneuverability. Its skatey, 8 aspect ratio planform keeps the foil feeling loose and free through turns while maintaining impressive stability at higher speeds. Reduced span across the range boosts stiffness and improves handling in turbulent or aerated water, helping the foil stay clean, predictable, and responsive when pushed hard.

Highlights.

Geometry.

The Halo uses a thinner, performance-oriented section with moderate camber, tuned for speed, efficiency, and clean release. The aspect ratio is optimized to keep the span compact while still allowing the foil to carry speed effortlessly through turns and shed air instantly after jumping, sliding, or breaching. Refined tip geometry minimizes ventilation and keeps the foil connected when carving hard or breaking the surface.

Efficiency.

Halo favors speed and glide over pure lowspeed lift. The reduced drag from its thinner section helps it hold momentum effortlessly between sections and through turns. This efficiency becomes even more noticeable at higher speeds, where Halo feels smoother, cleaner, and far less draggy than higherliftoriented surf foils.

Agility.

The Halo is our most maneuverable design yet, reacting instantly to rider input. It rolls from rail to rail like a snowboard and stays lively through tight arcs, whitewater, and freestyle moves. The new thinner section, subtle camber, and performancedriven aspect ratio let the foil redirect without hesitation, making it easy to adjust lines, handle extreme speed, or recover cleanly after landings.

Construction.

Carbon Performance Construction tuned for speed, glide, and powerful rebound, delivering a fast, lively, and responsive feel under your feet. Halo is built with blend of select carbon fibers, tuned for maximum stiffness, aggressive landings, and longterm durability. The layup prioritizes torsional rigidity for precise control while keeping overall weight low. The result is a wing that feels lively under load, responds instantly to input, and holds its shape at speed.
