Banzai Surf Pro
Control Surf Wave.
A focus on maximum maneuverability and control in surf and surf like conditions. This all new design has a very neutral feel. You are free to draw your own lines on the wave and surf exactly how you want. Effortless drive and lightness allowing you to sail for hours.
Banzai Surf feels a bit higher in aspect with a shorter boom compared to Banzai 11 and Banzai Max. This, combined with the lower and more centered positioned lift, gives you a balanced neutral feel for maximum control and maneuverability. This also makes the sail feel super light in your hands, allowing you to sail for longer and be in complete control when wave riding. The power never pulls too much or too little but is always there when you need it.
If you are looking for a size 5.5 or bigger, we highly recommend the Banzai 11. When the wind gets lighter, we want to give you maximum power and early planing, and the Banzai 11 really shines in that range.
What happened to the Fringe and the Guru?
When we developed the Banzai Surf, we considered especially those sailors loving the Fringe and the Guru, including ourselves. The Fringe was Kai Lenny’s favorite sail for riding light wind waves. Francisco Goya chose the Guru in all conditions. Jason Diffin developed and loved both.
The Banzai Surf addresses all those dreams, and then some. If you doted on the Fringe or the Guru you will feel the same affection for the Banzai Surf.
But how does it compare to its predecessors? The Banzai Surf is more maneuverable, with added forward drive, higher range and lighter weight. There is not a single box that the Banzai Surf didn’t check superior to Fringe or Guru. Compared to the regular Banzai the Banzai Surf has a pronounced neutral feel.
We are excited for you to experience this all new sail. Seeing how much people love it, we are sure so will you.

Feeling.
The Banzai Surf has a light and neutral feel with the lift centered.

Outline.
Banzai Surf is more of a high aspect outline with a shorter length boom, compared to Banzai 11 and Banzai Max.

Scrim Body Panels.
Scrim is one third lighter than X-Ply and effectively stops tears from traveling. Its feeling is direct yet supple and gives sails an organic, smooth and alive touch. With scrim, the energy transfer from wind to membrane to stretch control to boom and into the rider’s hands is instant and electrifying.
Additional Aramid Foot Panels. Found in our reinforced foot material, an additional blend of Aramid fibers provide increased protection against any deformations happening in the first place and against punctures from traveling, full stop.
Window.
Extended Window. For augmented visibility down the line and at the lip while bottom turning in wave sailing, as well as facilitated overview at the sailors around you in freeriding.
Black Window Frame. For best optics through the sail, ultra low reflection, ultra low distraction. The black frame has been a conscious as well as a unifying choice and provides total vision of your surroundings.
