Banzai Surf Pro Carbon.
Control Surf Wave.
We are proud to present you the lightest Goya Windsurfing sails yet. The all new Pro Carbon build offers even lighter weight through ultimate materials.
A focus on maximum maneuverability and control in surf and surf like conditions. This all new design has a very neutral feel. You are free to draw your own lines on the wave and surf exactly how you want. Effortless drive and lightness allowing you to sail for hours.
Banzai Surf feels a bit higher in aspect with a shorter boom compared to Banzai 11 and Banzai Max. This, combined with the lower and more centered positioned lift, gives you a balanced neutral feel for maximum control and maneuverability. This also makes the sail feel super light in your hands, allowing you to sail for longer and be in complete control when wave riding. The power never pulls too much or too little but is always there when you need it.
If you are looking for a size 5.5 or bigger, we highly recommend the Banzai 11. When the wind gets lighter, we want to give you maximum power and early planing, and the Banzai 11 really shines in that range.
What happened to the Fringe and the Guru?
When we developed the Banzai Surf, we considered especially those sailors loving the Fringe and the Guru, including ourselves. The Fringe was Kai Lenny’s favorite sail for riding light wind waves. Francisco Goya chose the Guru in all conditions. Jason Diffin developed and loved both.
The Banzai Surf addresses all those dreams, and then some. If you doted on the Fringe or the Guru you will feel the same affection for the Banzai Surf.
But how does it compare to its predecessors? The Banzai Surf is more maneuverable, with added forward drive, higher range and lighter weight. There is not a single box that the Banzai Surf didn’t check superior to Fringe or Guru. Compared to the regular Banzai the Banzai Surf has a pronounced neutral feel.
We are excited for you to experience this all new sail. Seeing how much people love it, we are sure so will you.

Feeling.
The Banzai Surf has a light and neutral feel with the lift centered.

Construction.
Main window panel: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant features two 3 mil layers of PET film. This creates a softer hand, improved flex and reduced creasing. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive significantly increases the life of the product in comparison to traditional monofilm.
Upper window panels: 4 mil high quality Monfofilm from Dimension Polyant.
Upper color body panels: 1.5 mil Ultra low stretch linear Warp Carbon fiber laminate yarns arrayed to control load lines in the sail combined with super strong Technora aramid X-Ply.
Foot, tack and center luff panel: 2 mil Warp Carbon film combined with super strong Technora aramid X-Ply yarns for increased puncture resistance.

Outline.
Banzai Surf is more of a high aspect outline with a shorter length boom, compared to Banzai 11 and Banzai Max.
Agility.
Maximum maneuverability and control. Effortless drive and lightness. Very neutral feel.
Warp Carbon Stretch Control
Massively increases the stability and range of our sails by keeping the low section full, the mid section stable and the top section properly twisting. Resulting in a super light handling sail with a highly comfortable feeling. All new Warp Carbon tendons ensure minimum stretch and crimp, while allowing for lightest and most efficient patching.
EPOXY CNC Battens
Lightweight, CAD shaped, CNC machined, ultra-durable, custom thickness and tailored taper battens.
Double Stitching
Around the main window, providing torsional strength, increased durability by reinforcing key load zones and blended transitions between different panel materials.
Rip Stop Sleeve
The sleeve material on all our sails is a special weave preventing tears from traveling and holes from widening. Making your sail look and perform better for longer.
Folded Sleeve Edge
Along the rear edges of the mast sleeve, preventing fraying and premature wear and tear.
Tack Fairing
Molded and stitched, this ultra durable tack fairing offers protection for your board and feet, aerodynamics around your extension and a place to store your downhaul rope. Made from abrasion resistant textile, it even protects itself.
Warp Carbon.
Magically improved handling. Pushes everything we love about our Scrim builds to the next level. More reactive. More nimble. All new Warp Carbon technology provides foundational stability in the profile shape. The material becomes the framework. Reinforced with an Aramid mesh for exceptional resilience. Warp Carbon body panels are 1.5 mil for paramount emphasis on light weight. Warp Carbon foot panels are 2.0 mil for outstanding puncture resistance.
Window.
Extended Window. For augmented visibility down the line and at the lip while bottom turning in wave sailing, as well as facilitated overview at the sailors around you in freeriding.
Black Window Frame. For best optics through the sail, ultra low reflection, ultra low distraction. The black frame has been a conscious as well as a unifying choice and provides total vision of your surroundings.
Design.
We believe in less but better. Consciously toning down the look of our gear, striving for a modern look that lets the product and its performance speak for itself.
