Banzai 11 X Pro

World Cup Wave.

A blend of light weight, power, control and range with some extra juice when you need it.

A new profile combined with a more unified twist from bottom to top creates a more efficient and lighter feeling sail giving you more range and control especially in down the line conditions.

Its handling characteristic puts the lift is slightly higher up and further back compared to Banzai Surf and Banzai Max, which promotes a more upright feel but also gives a touch of back hand pressure for more throttle when you need it.

A direct but flexible feel keeps you connected at all times during maneuvers. Banzai 11 is our World Cup performance wave sail designed to win in all wave and maneuver conditions.

Feeling.

The Banzai 11 has a direct feel with the lift up and slightly further back.

Construction.

Main window panel: 6 mil Dimension-Polyant X-Ply ® film, featuring black Spectra yarns, an Ultra-PE fiber that provides high modulus stretch resistance and high tensile tear strength.

Upper window panels: 5 mil Dimension-Polyant X-Ply ® film, featuring black Polyester yarns, designed for reduced stretch and increased tear resistance.

Upper body color panels: 2.5 mil Scrim from Dimension-Polyant is a polyester scrim plus X-PLY ® which are designed for reduced weight while still offering reduced stretch of a traditional X-PLY ® only product.

Foot/Tack panel: 4 mil Aramid Scrim has an upgraded scrim with larger denier fibers, while still keeping the high tenacity aramid X-PLY ®. It has a much greater tear and puncture resistance at the highest impact of pure wave riding.

Outline.

Banzai 11 is a moderate aspect outline with a medium-length boom, like Banzai Max, compared to Banzai Surf.

Agility.

Its higher up and further back lift promotes a more upright feel and gives a touch of back hand pressure for more throttle when you need it.

Highlights

Warp Carbon Stretch Control
Massively increases the stability and range of our sails by keeping the low section full, the mid section stable and the top section properly twisting. Resulting in a super light handling sail with a highly comfortable feeling. All new Warp Carbon tendons ensure minimum stretch and crimp, while allowing for lightest and most efficient patching.

EPOXY CNC Battens
Lightweight, CAD shaped, CNC machined, ultra durable, custom thickness and tailored taper battens.

Double Stitching
Around the main window, providing torsional strength, increased durability by reinforcing key load zones and blended transitions between different panel materials.

Rip Stop Sleeve
The sleeve material on all our sails is a special weave preventing tears from traveling and holes from widening. Making your sail look and perform better for longer.

Folded Sleeve Edge
Along the rear edges of the mast sleeve, preventing fraying and premature wear and tear.

Tack Fairing
Molded and stitched, this ultra durable tack fairing offers protection for your board and feet, aerodynamics around your extension and a place to store your downhaul rope. Made from abrasion resistant textile, it even protects itself.

Full X-Ply Build.

Offering you a sail with no single panel unprotected, period. As much as we invest into our Bi-Ply wave window technology and as much as we trust our Monofilm freeride window quality, there’s nothing quite as dependable as X-Ply, especially when you’re treading far away from civilization and the conditions are firing.

Scrim body panels. Scrim is one third lighter than X-Ply and effectively stops tears from traveling. Its feeling is direct yet supple and gives sails an organic, smooth and alive touch. With scrim, the energy transfer from wind to membrane to stretch control to boom and into the rider’s hands is instant and electrifying.

Aramid foot panels. Found in our reinforced foot material, an additional blend of Aramid fibers provide increased protection against any deformations happening in the first place and against punctures from traveling, full stop.

Window.

Extended Window. For augmented visibility down the line and at the lip while bottom turning in wave sailing, as well as facilitated overview at the sailors around you in freeriding.

Black Window Frame. For best optics through the sail, ultra low reflection, ultra low distraction. The black frame has been a conscious as well as a unifying choice and provides total vision of your surroundings.

Black Window Yarns. Ultra Low Reflection. Black X-Ply yarns absorb all the light and move towards vanishing in appearance, as you look through the sail, offering the best possible undistracted view through the window.

Details

Sleeve Opener.
At the top of the boom cut out. Makes sliding the mast into the sleeve that much more quick and easy.

Anti-Chafe Batten Ends.
Protecting the batten pocket leech ends of your sail when rigging on rough surfaces.

Tack Stitch Protection.
Safeguarding the tack area of your sail against stitch breaking from rough board textures.

Hanging Loop.
Lets you hang your sail to dry, or tie a rope, or stick a screwdriver to pull the mast when derigging.

6:1 Stainless Pulley.
Using all three rolls for an optimized power ratio.

USA Made Films.
All films on all Goya Windsurfing sails are made by Dimension-Polyant in the USA to our rigerous quality standards.

Soft Foot Piping.
Protecting your shins during tweaked maneuvers on wave sails, and your sail against the board deck on flatwater sails.
